message from the class president

an historic moment

my fellow classmates and friends:

i welcome you to the cahs class of 1984s new and updated website. this effort has been the undertaking of one of our talented classmates, terence terry t thomas. as you are aware, a majority of the members of this class have achieved and accomplished extraordinary things. many are successful in business, industry and government. we would like to recognize and showcase your accomplishments through this medium. while this site serves as an opportunity for networking and advertisement of your business or skills, it is only through the support of each other can we achieve success.

as we approach our 25th reunion, a small nucleus of classmates has been meeting regularly over the past months to develop activities and events that are accessible and affordable to all. we have considered a number of concerns such as families, current economic conditions and time in the planning of these events. inasmuch as we have attempted to consider these factors, we believe that with advance planning and notice, a vast majority of you should be able to attend.

this silver anniversary is promising to be memorable. imagine for a minute ....... twenty-five (25) years ago ..... where were you and what were you doing?

there's a lot of catching up to do and a lot to talk about. it is my sincere hope to see all of you at reunion 2009. i promise you it will be something you will never forget. so, as you begin to plan and prepare on joining us, please browse the site and review the calendar of events and activities, using it in making your plans to attend.

your comments and remarks are welcomed, however due to time, the activities have been finalized. should you wish to assist the planning committee, please indicate your availability and expertise and we will gladly contact you.

pass the word along! the cahs class of 1984 is on the move. remember - "what we can conceive and believe, we can achieve!

to excel always.

yours truly,

dwayne a. benjamin
class president

november 4, 2008 will be a day that all of us will remember for the rest of our lives. on this day in history, the american people elected barack hussein obama as the 44th president of the united states of america.  president obama became the first african-american president; an accomplishment that many of us dreamed about, but never expected to see in our lifetime. let us keep the president in our thoughts and prayers.
